Maximilian "Max" Fluffybottom III is one of the main characters of Counterfeit Cat. He is a lazy yellow housecat, the best friend of Gark, and Betty's pet cat. He is voiced by Marc Wootton and has appeared in every episode so far.
Biography[]
As shown in "Happy Earthday", Max was lonely before Gark came to Earth, he was unwanted and teased by the other animals and largely ignored by Betty. He became Gark's best friend when Throckmorton and Gark crashed into Betty's apartment.
He is often very selfish to the people he considers his friends, especially Gark, many times he uses Gark's alien powers for his own needs without thinking of the consequences. Max is also the only being from Earth that knows of Gark's true identity.
Gark believes tigers (he believes Max is a tiger) are among the bravest species on Earth, in reality, Max is a selfish, lazy housecat, the exact opposite of what Gark thinks, regardless, Gark takes Max on dangerous and frightening journeys. Despite his selfishness, there are times where he shows a more sensitive side and loves Gark even though he takes advantage of him.
Max is often outcasted by the other park animals for his selfish behaviour, all of which prefer Gark over him. In "The Vet" the park animals agreed to help him break into the vet's office but only to save Gark. In "Fat Cat" Anton and The Kid cheered him on when he faced against The Cat Toy God, but both felt weird about doing it as it was an uncommon occurrence.
The one thing that terrifies Max without fail is Staring Dog, an ominous wide-eyed dog who constantly stares at Max and follows him around.
He gets bald in No Pranks Thanks and Max Me No Questions.
